Recently,the 2026 World Robot Conference (WRC) washeldin Beijing. Over 300 enterprisesand more than 3,000 exhibits were showcased. Among them,34 enterprises from Guangdong Province participated as an organized delegation, placing the province among the top tier nationwide in scale.
Four robotics enterprises from Dongguan’sSongshan Lake- Direct Drive Tech, AgileX Robotics, Moxian Technology, and Neoway Technology—made ajoint appearance.They showcased their cutting-edge strengths in direct-drive power, mobile chassis and data solutions, flexible tactile sensing, and 5G communication modules, illustrating the industry's evolution "from core components to integrated systems." This joint appearance reflects the fertile industrial ecosystem that Songshan Lake has cultivated through years of sustained effort.
In policy planning, Songshan Lake Science City has established a "1+5+1+X" modern industrial system, designating robotics and intelligent equipment as one of its five strategic emerging industries. To date, the area has attracted approximately 500 robotics enterprises, covering the full industry chain from innovation incubation and core components to complete machine manufacturingand system integration.
Serving as a key incubator within this fertile ecosystem, the Songshan Lake XbotPark Robotics Base has incubated over 140 hard-tech enterprises. In addition, the base has pioneered the "shared factory" model, providing resident startup teams with one-stop services from prototyping and pilot production to supply chain integration.The Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory also opens shared instruments to park enterprises, enabling startups to rapidly validate technologies and iterate products, thereby significantly reducing research and development costs.
Meanwhile, the Guangdong Provincial Embodied Intelligent Robot Supply Chain Industry Alliance and the Dongguan Embodied Intelligent Robot Innovation Center have been established. These initiatives strengthen industrial chain collaboration and technology validation, further enhancing the robotics industry ecosystem in Songshan Lake.
On the application side, Dongguan plansto open over 200 high-value application scenarios by 2028, with Songshan Lake as the base for building a "Robotics+" matchmaking platform. On the service side, an integrated "equity-bond-loan-guarantee" system leverages industrial funds and angel investment for early-stage and small-scale ventures. The "Qiguanjia" platform resolves corporate demands in a closed-loop manner, while releasing contiguous industrial land.to ensure land availability for business expansion.
Taking the "1+5+1+X" industrial system as its fulcrum, Songshan Lake is weaving the industrial chain, innovation chain, and talent chain into a unified force, constructing a complete closed-loop ecosystem that spans "source innovation—technology incubation—scaled manufacturing," so that robotics enterprises can grow, stay, and go far.
