Recently, Dongguan disclosed the list of its innovative enterprises in 2019. According to relevant regulations of the “Implementation Measures of Dongguan for Nurturing Innovative Enterprises” (No. 40 [2020] of Dongguan Science and Technology Bureau) and based on application of the enterprises, recognition of Dongguan Science and Technology Bureau and approval of the People’s Government of Dongguan Municipality, Guangdong Shengyi Technology Co., Ltd. and other 28 enterprises were recognized as Dongguan’s first batch of top 100 enterprises, Dongguan Jigtech Technology Co., Ltd. and other 33 enterprises were recognized as Dongguan’s first batch of gazelle enterprises.
“Gazelle enterprise”
“Gazelle enterprise” refers to a small- or medium-sized enterprise entering a high-growth period supported by innovation of technology or innovation of business model after experiencing a death valley. The recognition mainly depends on whether the industry field is in line with the strategic emerging industry development goal of the province and the country, covering emerging industry, new generation of information technology (including big data, the IoT and cloud computing, high-end software, Internet), biomedicine and health, artificial intelligence, fintech, energy conservation and environment protection, and consumption upgrading.
Songshan Lake shows impressive performance with nine gazelle enterprises, accounting for 26.5% of the city, seven top 100 enterprises, accounting for 24.1% of the city.
